Custard
1 cup and 6 TBSP of Steele’s Nature Sweet Crystals
2 eggs (separated)
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups water
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons Davinci Sugar-Free Butter Rum or Amaretto flavoring
Beat crystals with egg yolks. Add salt, stir in 2 cups cream and
2 cups water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture
coats a spoon. Remove from heat and allow it to cool. Beat egg whites
until foamy, and then gradually add remaining 6 tablespoons of crystals.
Add to cooked custard and blend thoroughly. Add vanilla extract
and other flavorings. Chill 3-4 hours. Can be served with whipped
cream on top.
